Activité biologique

Description	Le PMA (Phorbol 12-myristate 13-acétate), un puissant activateur de PKC, est actif à des concentrations nanomolaires. Le Phorbol 12-myristate 13-acétate (PMA) induit la sphingosine-1-phosphate (S1P). Le PMA a une forte excitabilité sur la peau et les muqueuses. Une protection spéciale est requise lors de l'utilisation du PMA. Portez des gants et un masque pour éviter tout contact direct.
In vitro	Dans les cellules endothéliales, le PMA (Phorbol 12-myristate 13-acétate) augmente les niveaux d'ARNm et de protéines Thy-1, induit une régulation positive de Thy-1 et inhibe la formation de tubes capillaires et la migration des cellules endothéliales.
In vivo	Dans le modèle du poisson zèbre, le PMA (Phorbol 12-myristate 13-acetate) améliore initialement la migration des cellules endothéliales, activant ensuite la voie médiatisée par PKC-δ/Syk/NF-κB pour réguler positivement Thy-1, ce qui à son tour inhibe la migration des cellules endothéliales.
